If requirements, existing systems, or technical risks need a closer look, a compact project analysis starts at CHF 540. That equals four hours at my hourly rate of CHF 135 and includes a structured review of your project, a sensible scope for a first version, and a rough estimate of effort, risk, and budget.

If you proceed with implementation afterward, the full cost of the analysis is credited to the first project phase. For more complex projects, we agree on the analysis scope upfront with a clear cost ceiling.

Small, clearly scoped web applications or first MVPs typically start at CHF 10’000 to 20’000. For a custom customer portal, an internal business tool, or a booking platform, you should usually budget CHF 20’000 to 60’000. Additional effort comes from things like extensive integrations, complex roles and permissions, payment processes, or specific security and availability requirements.

A first production-usable version typically ships in four to eight weeks, depending on scope. I deliver in short iterations, so you can test early with real users and set priorities based on real insights. Larger platforms then evolve in stages from that first version.

Standard tools are often the right starting point. Custom software becomes valuable when your processes should create a real competitive advantage and no template can model that reliably. Then your software fits your business instead of your business fitting the tool. If a standard solution can solve your problem well, I will tell you that in the first call.

I use a proven, maintainable stack and avoid exotic technology choices. The goal is long-term flexibility: your team should be able to find developers easily and evolve the product in five years as well. Technology follows your project, not my personal preferences. Typical examples are TypeScript, Angular or React, NestJS, and PostgreSQL/Supabase.

Yes. That is non-negotiable for me. Code, documentation, and infrastructure access are yours to keep, run, and change. No proprietary black boxes, no vendor lock-in — you can hand the project to your own team or another developer at any time. If you would rather not run it yourself, ongoing support is available separately and always optional.

Your choice. Every project ends with documentation and a clean hand-over, so your team or any developer can continue independently. Many clients then consciously choose a long-term collaboration with me because they do not want to handle operations, updates, and monitoring themselves.

Not every problem needs custom software. But when your processes should become a competitive advantage, there is often no real alternative. If standard tools force workarounds, create media breaks, or limit your growth, custom software usually becomes the more strategic investment.
